Grant Hancock, Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Science, Bachelor of Exercise & Movement Science AEP AES ESSAM
Grant is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist, Accredited Exercise Scientist and Exercise and Sports Science Australia Member. Grant completed his Clinical Exercise Science degree at the University of the Sunshine Coast in 2018, and also graduated with a Bachelor of Exercise & Movement Science from the Queensland University of Technology in 2015.
Grant’s special interests areas include rehabilitation for cardiac and metabolic conditions, as well as helping clients implement lifestyle strategies to reduce their risk of developing chronic conditions, and to help improve the quality of life for people with chronic pain through the prescription of exercise as medicine. Grant is always looking to improve his skillset in order to provide the highest quality, evidence based treatment for his clients.
Grant has had previous experience at the Mount Isa Centre for Rural and Remote Health and private practice clinics across Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast. He has worked with a wide client base including individuals and groups in cardiac rehabilitation, post- knee and hip replacement, Type 2 Diabetes, falls prevention, Traumatic Brain Injury and many other conditions. Grant also has experience as a member of the Strength & Conditioning team for AFL Queensland junior representative squads.
Outside of work, Grant loves staying active by exercising outdoors, climbing mountains, playing social sports such as Touch Rugby League and Indoor Soccer, and also considers himself a bit of a film buff. Grant is a firm believer that movement is a greatly important component of every person’s life, and hopes to impart some of his enthusiasm towards movement and exercise onto his clients.
