Senior Health Strength, Conditioning and Rehabilitation

Keeping healthy as you get older in life is the best way to avoid the chances of chronic conditions or mild to severe ailments. MyEP - Exercise Physiologists can implement exercise as a treatment strategy to help improve:

  • Bone strength and avoid the onset of osteoporosis, through weighted exercise tailored to the client’s needs.
  • Cardiovascular endurance to help minimise the risk of a cardiac disease, reduce blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar levels.
  • Falls prevention and balance improvement
  • Gait Retraining
  • Hydrotherapy sessions to help reduce the stress on joints and ligaments.
  • Brain exercises to help with memory, proprioception, reaction/thinking speed and attention.
  • Musculoskeletal imbalances- lower back pain, knee pain, hip pain, shoulder pain, etc.
  • Quality of life and activities of daily living- something as simple as getting up and down into a chair, to hanging out a wash without pain.
  • The exercises we use are designed to help build Farmers Strength, so you can function well all day.

My EP offers one on one Strength, Conditioning and Rehabilitation sessions or group sessions are available. You can choose from 8 different clinics across the Sunshine Coast.

Since my wife & i have been attending Jesse Goldfinch’s exercise classes at the PCYC in Nambour, I have to admit that we are starting to feel the benefit from them. Jesse is always careful to make sure that we do exercises suitable for our age group (81 & 90) & that we do them correctly, while being pleasantly friendly at the same time. Muscle we had almost forgotten we had, are gently bought into working order again.

I am writing to say how I have found the My EP service which I have been attending for some time. Jesse Goldfinch has been my Exercise Physiologist and I have found him to be a very professional and likeable person. My fitness has improved considerable and the health issue that I was experiencing have also improved. Jesse was also able to pick up a serious health issue that I had and as a result of this I had surgery and am now feeling much healthier and fitter than I have been for many years. Jesse develops programs that are both enjoyable and give variety to exercise that ensure that we do not get bored with the programme and one that also focuses on strengthening the whole body. I would recommend this service to anyone wanting to get fit, overcome health concerns that limit your physical fitness and also helps us to enjoy exercising.
